The DataLock BT Secured USB drive, which requires a purchase, incorporates advanced security features designed for enhanced data protection. Developed by ClevX, the DataLock BT technology allows user authentication through Bluetooth Smart® using an iPhone or Apple Watch. It offers multilayer authentication options, including access via phone, or phone combined with a PIN, or even a combination of phone, PIN, and user ID/time stamp.

The DataLock Admin application provides IT administrators with the capability to enforce usage policies and strengthen the security of stored information on the DataLock BT drive. It supports multi-factor authentication, adding an additional layer of security. Furthermore, a subscription to DataLock Remote Management enables remote control functions such as remotely disabling drives (Remote Kill), alongside other critical security operations.

The drives feature full disk hardware encryption using XTS-AES 256-bit encryption. They are compatible across various host operating systems—including Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chrome OS—and can connect to any device equipped with a standard USB port. Notably, DataLock BT does not require preloaded software on the drives themselves, simplifying deployment and use across multiple device types.
